GLASS PAINTING

Chinese new year is just around the corner. Looking for jars for cookies & candy ?

Glass painting on some recycle bottles are ideal ! Here are my collection of jars.

The biggest one is perfect for making enzyme, however,
I prefer to keep my 'kuih kapit' during Chinese new year.

It is wise to keep some recycle bottles especially the big & unusual ones !
If you are interested to give these bottles a new life,
pls contact me at vien.artcorner@gmail.com

May your days fill with joy always & as

sweet as this Christmas tree !

These are Chengah wood plank that I picked up from a construction bin.

I sand it and scrub some base coat over it then painted the flowers using

acrylic paint.

2010 COLOUR TRENDS

Today I attended a seminar about '2010 colour trends forecast' ,organized
by a paint company.
The speaker is Ms Denise Turner from US . A very influential person in design industry.

According to the expert, colour has different ' freguency'
that give us a different effect.
For instance ,pink should give a calm effect , making one craving for sweet etc...

Believe it or not, when you closed your eyes, with your senses ,majority people actually
can differentiate between warm and cool colours !

The colours trends forecast very much determine as follows :
Fashion
Heritage Design
Asian Elements
Vivid Hues,Asian Youths
Flexing muscles,Animation
etc

My summary is that be sensitve about our enviroment, nature and things happening
around us.This will give us the clues of colour trends of 2010 !!!

GLASS ORNAMENTS - SUNCATCHERS
